Evening Services for Lent
Beginning with Ash Wednesday, February 17th, there will be weekly services in the sanctuary on Wednesday evenings at 6:30, except for Holy Week. These times of worship will begin with a traditional Ash Wednesday Service and then continue through the next five weeks with half hour services, which will feature different guest spakers from around our community. A list of the services and speakers is listed below.
March 10th - Capt. Jason Smith, Salisbury CORPS Officer, Salvation Army
March 17th - Rev. Dr. Albert Aymer, President and Proffesor of New Testament, Hood Theological Seminary
March 24th - Rev. Gloria Hughes, Christian Education and Nurture Coordinator of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Also, please be aware that we will have evening worship services on Maundy Thursday, April 1st, and Good Friday, April 2nd. These services will begin at 7:00 pm.
The Scholarship Committee announces the following important dates. The deadline for submission of all applications for the 2010-2011 year is April 15, 2010, but they may be turned in any time prior to that. Applications are available in the church office, tower room, and narthex. Interview dates for initial applicants are May 1 and May 8. Please consult the youth bulletin board to sign up for a convenient time for your interview.
