Connecting 101. Our Connecting 101 class will be on Sundays, September 12 through October 10, 9:45-10:45 am, in the Conference Room (Room 106). The purpose of Connecting 101 is to help those who worship with us to understand what it means to belong to First United Methodist, not just to join. We look at connecting with Jesus Christ, connecting with United Methodist history and theology, and connecting with active ministry through and beyond our congregation. If you have any questions, contact Elaine Hewitt, 704-636-3121 or elaine@fumcsalisbury.org. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance notice is very helpful. Nursery and Sunday school classes for all ages are available at the same hour.
The Get Acquainted Luncheon will be Sunday, October 3 in the Fellowship Hall, following the 11:00 service. Meet the staff, one another, and find out more about the ministries of our congregation. Please contact the office to make a reservation no later than Wednesday, September 29, giving your names and the number attending. At that time, let us know if you need child care for preschool aged children. Children are welcome in the luncheon.
